Introduction

Lesson 7: Playing Sounds over Time

You’ve learned in earlier lessons that in a Spatial Scene, any sound emitting Object sources its sound from a contained Soundset. That Soundset is in turn, typically references a sound that is commonly derived from an imported audio file. All of the lessons you’ve worked through so far have been configured to have that source file play from the beginning of the Scene’s timeline timeline and have been set to loop infinitely so that the sound plays repeatedly until you stop the Scene. This approach has worked sufficiently for the purpose of learning about features related to Object positioning, size and motion, but Spatial has additional features that provide you with more flexibility over the behavior of when sounds play.
