Fixes

  • Fixes a crash on shutdown related to AES67 output.
  • Additional stability improvements and bug fixes.

10.2.10

Distance effects behavior has been improved. Any Scenes created using Spatial Studio 2.0.2 will sound different when played back on a computer group running Spatial Reality 10.2.10

Fixes

  • Fixes an issue with delay correction for speakers not working properly.
  • Fixes several issues with distance effects calculation.
  • Fixes an issue with the IGMP querier not working properly on the regular spatial network interface.
  • Improves several areas of logging for improved performance.
  • Additional stability improvements and bug fixes.

10.0.4

Fixes

  • Fixes an issue that causes test tone and pink noise to not play back correctly.

  • Additional stability improvements and bug fixes.

10.0.0

New Features

  • Spatial’s audio rendering approach has been overhauled for fantastic scalability and fidelity benefits:
    • Significant improvements to objects’ physical behaviors for position, size and shape, and motion, including: loudness and delay management, fine tuned distance effects, doppler effect, and more.
    • Fine tuned updates to render handling for scalability, with support for up to 64 channels of audio on a single M1 Mac mini. (You can always add more computers to Spatial for even better scaling and handling of very complex scenes.)
  • Support for volume animation and fading, as well as handling improvements across most object properties.
  • Spatial Reality engine support for Spatial Headspace, which allows creators to preview the audio from a scene using headphones or stereo speakers, including mimicking performance in actual Spatial spaces and allowing movement and rotation of the preview listener.
  • Improvements supporting OSC inputs outputs and related external automation.
  • Native integration with Steinway Lyngdorf for Spatial home theater enhancement applications.

Fixes

  • Adjusted default object size for better positioning and distance performance out of the box.
  • Improved audio performance for object level looping and randomness.
  • Stability improvements and bug fixes.

8.27.6

New Features

  • Enhances OSC integration to support up to 100 inputs.

Fixes

  • Improves mechanism to restart content in case of an uncontrolled shutdown.
  • Additional stability improvements and bug fixes.

8.27.3

New Features

  • Improves compatibility with AES67 devices.

Fixes

  • Fixes an issue that prevents scripts from being executed.

8.27.1

We recommend using Spatial Studio 1.4.1 or later and Spatial Control 1.15.0 or later with this version.

New Features

  • Adds support for a custom configured multicast network address. This fixes an issue that causes Spatial Studio and Spatial Control to not be able to communicate with computer groups on certain network infrastructure.

(Contact us at support@spatialinc.com for configuration help with this specific issue.)

Fixes

  • Fixes an issue that causes the Scene loading status to be reported incorrectly.
  • Fixes an issue that causes audio to sputter and cut out when playing back extremely quiet content.

New Features

  • Improved consistency of low-to-the-ground Scene Objects across most Spaces.
  • For new spacemaps, the horizontal acoustic center of the Space — from which Scene Objects are positioned — is calculated to be at the center of the Space. The vertical center uses the z=0 value from speaker locations in the spacemap.
  • The default spread in new Scenes is “3”. Spread is inherited by default.
  • Bass management is on by default in new Scenes.
  • Allow the setting of crossover frequencies in the spacemap.

Fixes

  • Better support for multiple instances of Spatial Studio and Spatial Control when connected to the same computer group.
